01 / QUICK TRANSLATE

A conversation should
feel like a conversation.

Say it, type it, show it, and give the other person space to reply. Both languages stay visible on a single screen.

01

Both sides stay put

Two persistent language panels make it easier to see what was said and answer in the other direction.

02

Use the words you have

Type a phrase or use the microphone control. Play translated speech aloud when your device supports it.

03

Make it easy to answer

Tap the translated side to reply, or switch to Face to face when sharing the phone works better.

02 / LIVE INTERPRETER

Stay present.
Let the words move.

Start a spoken session and share the phone between two people. Pocket Interpreter shows when it is listening and interpreting, with controls to pause or end the exchange.

01Hands-free after you start
02Visible conversation status
03Pause when you need to

Live language pairs are experimental. Live requires internet and available Interpreter Time, the allowance available for live sessions. For important decisions, confirm details with a qualified person.

BEYOND THE LIVE SESSION

More ways to keep
a conversation moving.

Live interpretation is the centre of the experience. Quick Translate and practical controls help when a shorter exchange—or a different connection—makes more sense.

01 / QUICK

Two editable sides

Keep both languages on one screen, switch their direction, and answer from either side without restarting.

02 / SHARED PHONE

Face to face

Turn the phone into a shared surface so the other person can read and reply in their language.

03 / WHEN OFFLINE

Typed fallback

Download a supported language model in Settings for typed Quick phrases when online translation is unavailable.

04 / LIVE CONTROL

See the session

Follow the listening and interpreting status, view the optional transcript, and pause or end the exchange.

05 / FLEXIBLE INPUT

Type, speak, listen

Write in either Quick panel, use voice input, and play a translation aloud when speech support is available.

06 / YOUR INFORMATION

Review your data

Find the privacy details, export app metadata, or request removal from the app’s settings and help pages.

In development for a future Android update

We are refining temporary Live recaps, connection recovery, and easier microphone and keyboard interaction. These improvements are not part of the current release.

LANGUAGES

Meet in the middle.

Current language pairs connect English with Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese. Choose the pair that fits the conversation.

Live support for these pairs is experimental. Quick Translate can use downloaded models for typed phrases when online translation is unavailable; speech features may still require internet.

A LITTLE MORE PEACE OF MIND

Know what the app does.
And what it does with data.

Translation works best with clear expectations. Read how Pocket Interpreter processes conversations, what may be retained, and how to ask for your data to be removed.

CLEAR BY DESIGN

What happens behind the words matters.

Live conversation requires online processing. The privacy policy explains service providers, retained service metadata, and deletion choices in detail.
